Valentine's Day this year was quite eventful. Because none of us had Valentines to share it with, we decided to have a dinner party at Kristin's! We went to Broulim's and bought all the ingredients to make breakfast for dinner, complete with pink waffles. Then we all got in our best Valentine's Day attire (I think Ben and Matt won that competition), and enjoyed our feast! We ended the night by having a dance party at Maverik and watching the Bachelor. It was a definite success, if I do say so myself. :) Turns out you don't need a Valentine when you have the coolest friends in the whole entire world! And who knows maybe next year some of us will have husbands to share this romantic day with! Weird...
This New Year's Eve was a little different than the ones we've experienced previously. Because we're not in high school anymore, we couldn't bring ourselves to go to any high school parties (that would just be embarrassing), and all the college kids were back home for the holidays, so we had to resort to having a little get together with the friends that were still around. We all went to Lauren's and tried to make the best of our situation. It turned out to be a lot of fun! The evening consisted of games, lots and lots of food, and of course lots of laughter.
Gettin' ready :)
Here's to 2012! As Jay Sean once said, let's party like it's the end of the world! Happy New Year!!
This whole blogging thing is turning out to be a lot harder than expected, which is why we're blogging about December in March. Please don't judge. December is by far one the happiest times of the year and this past December was no exception. We started off the month by driving down to Provo to surprise Sara and watch one of her ballet performances. (I wish we had a picture of her reaction when she saw us, totally made the four hour drive worthwhile.) We watched lots of Christmas movies, made Christmas treats, and had an ugly sweater ice skating party at Kristin's. To top it all off we had a gift exchange/Christmas party with all the girls.
(We tried so hard to get a normal looking picture but we just couldn't do it)
And of course the month of December just wouldn't be complete without making a Christmas music video!!
I know it's only Wednesday, but it seemed like the perfect day to share this little gem. This music video was made a couple months ago on a weekend trip to Salt Lake City. Slightly embarrassing (some might argue we're getting a little old to be making music videos) ... but I still crack up every time I see it. Enjoy. :)
